Hours: 40.00 Salary Range: $26.00 - $36.00 Pay Info: $7,500 Sign-on
Bonus Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers
professional nursing care to residents of all ages in a long-term
care setting, working under the guidance of a registered nurse,
advanced practice provider, or physician. This role requires a
solid understanding of nursing principles applicable to the
clinical environment. The LPN must demonstrate proficiency in
nursing practices, adhering to age and population-specific
standards that address both the physical and psychosocial needs of
residents as outlined in their care plans. Key responsibilities
include: Performing assessments and administering medications or
treatments as prescribed. Providing technical assistance to
healthcare professionals when necessary. Documenting resident
interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior,
activities, and dietary needs. Building and maintaining effective
relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the
community. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to
ensure optimal care delivery. Communicating effectively while
maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Advising
residents and their families on prevention and treatment plans
under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Utilizing
knowledge of resident education principles to create self-care
programs. Performing additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Graduation from an accredited practical nursing
program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; an Associate degree in
practical nursing is preferred. If IV therapy/management skills are
required, candidates must have graduated from a Board-approved
AASPN program that includes IV therapy in the curriculum or
completed an IV Therapy course sanctioned by the North Dakota Board
of Nursing. Completion of a pre-licensure nursing program with
supervised clinical experience across the lifespan, or a minimum of
400 hours of experience as an LPN in another facility. Specific
roles may have additional educational or training requirements.
Possession of an unencumbered LPN license from the State Nursing
Board, or multi-state licensure privileges. Commitment to obtaining
and maintaining necessary department-specific competencies and
certifications, including annual continuing education units (CEUs)
and competency training as required by the department and facility.
