working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Rapid City,
South Dakota, 57701! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:

per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years general nursing
experience, 1 year specific to PCU License: Registered Nurse (RN)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Completion of a nursing
education program approved by a board of nursing. PCU level RN
experience with cardiac procedural recovery. Experience with MI
pharmacology and titratable cardiac/vasoactive medications. Ability
to interpret cardiac rhythms and manage chest tubes. Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in a mixed acuity unit that
handles Intermediate Care, Telemetry, and MedSurg patients. The
nurse will be responsible for observing patients who are direct
admits, ED admits, and post cardiac procedures. Types of patients
include those with MI, NSTEMI, STEMI, CHF, dysrhythmias, and
pacemaker malfunctions. The nurse should have experience with
post-cardiac/vascular, post-cardiac cath, and post-open heart
surgery patients. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 but can be
adjusted to 1:3 based on acuity. Support will be provided by a CNA,
charge nurse, and tele tech for cardiac monitoring. Charting will
be done using an electronic system. Floating may occur to similar
units or other areas where PCU-level care is required. Weekend
rotation is expected every other week, and holiday coverage is
required every other holiday. Approval for time off is limited,
especially during a specific period in August annually. 5 Benefits
