As a Class A CDL Driver, you will play a vital role in our operations and contribute to our continued success. Responsibilities: Operate a Class A CDL vehicle to transport grain or other agricultural products and materials from various locations to designated destinations. Ensure safe and efficient loading, transportation, and unloading of products and materials. Follow all local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, and promptly report any maintenance or repair needs to the Trucking Manager. Facilitates routine service on trucks, including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air. Responsible for cleaning the inside of trailers and opening and closing traps on the trailers. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and compliance. Build strong relationships with farmers, customers, and team members through excellent communication and professionalism. Provide exceptional customer service, always ensuring customer satisfaction. When not driving, this position will also assist in the warehouse and grain elevator. Requirements: Valid Class A CDL in good standing with no serious violations, tickets, or accidents in the last five years and no DWI/DUI in the last ten years. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver preferred Doubles/Triples Endorsement is required, a tanker endorsement is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of and ability to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with farmers, customers, and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working at heights in various weather conditions. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Commitment to safety and ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols. Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, during peak harvest seasons. Physical Requirements Able to physically lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) frequently throughout the work shift with or without assistance. Frequent walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers. Standing/working on feet for extended periods and walking across uneven terrain, climbing up and down ladders and stairways Able to work in extreme weather conditions and elements, including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, etc. Frequent exposure to noise and dust Able to wear personal protective equipment and any other safety-related equipment. Able to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and overtime as required.
