Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Rapid City, SD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,209 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701! Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Variable Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred; flexible for candidates with 1.5 years of ED experience and 2 years of experience in other areas. License: Must have a valid Registered Nurse license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS required; CPI or MAB/MOAB preferred. Must-Have: Experience with patient triage, critical thinking, and prioritization of care. Description: This position deals with a high volume of patients, 150-180 daily. The Emergency Department has designated trauma and resuscitation beds as well as areas for behavioral health. There are multiple patient pods which can accommodate various acuity levels. Patients may range from neonates to geriatric adults. A variety of conditions will be treated, including critical illnesses and traumas. Travelers will be expected to handle sexual assault cases and participate in evidence collection. This includes collecting samples and interviewing victims, with resources available for support. The unit cares for critically ill children and those requiring cardiac interventions. The patient-to-nurse ratio will be 1:4-5. Team support will include charge nurses and nursing technicians. This role involves floating to inpatient areas as needed, working within the scope of practice. Shift schedules are variable, requiring flexibility to meet staffing needs. Travelers may work weekends and will not be on call. Holiday work will be required only if necessary.
