Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology Profession: Registered
Nurse Specialty: Medical Oncology-Infusion Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 1.5
years of nursing experience License: Registered Nurse
Certifications: BLS and chemotherapy certification for infusion
clinic required Must-Have: - Chemotherapy infusion - Chart checks -
Rooming patients (vital signs, weight, review of systems check) -
Medication reconciliation Description: This position is in an
outpatient clinic setting. Travelers must live more than 100 miles
away from the facility. Permanent staff must wait one full year to
return as travelers. Patient types include Medical Oncology and
Chemotherapy Infusion. OCN certification is preferred but not
required. Support on the unit includes a charge nurse and resource
nurse. There is no phlebotomy or IV/VAT team available. Physician
and ARNP will be present in the clinic. Charting system used is
Epic. Med dispensing system utilized is Omnicell. There is no
floating to other units. Orientation will take place in the
department. There is no weekend rotation required. There is no
on-call schedule. No holiday expectations are outlined. Approval of
time off is permitted. Scrub color required is navy blue for
nursing and gray for CA or MA.
