Job Description Jackson Nurse Professionals is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/21/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel • General Information • Beds: 39 - MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU - mixed unit • Minimal Experience: • 2 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel experience is most preferred • If they have 1.5 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel and have significant RN experience outside of ICU, please have CRT send to management team for approval • Will you accept a first-time traveler? No. Minimum one prior travel assignment • Travelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility • Patient Types: • Complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro and trauma • Diagnoses include but are not limited to: ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, multiple system trauma - heavy trauma population • Cardiac experience is preferred (not required): CABG/TAVR - 24 to 48 hrs post op experience is preferred but not required for travelers • Will not take fresh open hearts unless they are experienced, and the facility felt comfortable with this - given to permanent staff • Patient Ratios: • RN: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 (rare) - acuity dependent • Required Certifications: • BLS • ACLS • NIHSS • TNCC (REQUIRED) - please decline travelers that would not be willing to obtain this certification prior to arrival • Required Education: • Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing • Skills required: • Epic experience • Comfortability working a 48hr/week contract - this is not negotiable for this unit About Jackson Nurse Professionals Filling critical needs in patient care, Jackson Nurse Professionals delivers cost-effective travel nurse staffing solutions to over 500 hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home health clients nationwide.
