Oversee and manage a Kosher meat processing facility in the
slaughtering, processing, packaging, and shipping. Will
include Kosher animals and non-Kosher killing process. Responsible
for complying with Kosher requirements and certification, plant
SOP’s, OSHA, FDA, state regulations and HAACP protocols.
Provide overall direction of plant operations with process,
product specifications and quality standards, complying with
contractual, customer requirements and meeting financial
Interview, hire, and train supervisors and employees for the
slaughter, processing, and shipping departments. Plan,
assign, and direct work, based on the production schedule, appraise
performance; reward and discipline, addressing complaints and
assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.
Ensure the compliance of plant safety regulations and lead the
plant safety program.
Monitor Kosher and HACCP guidelines and periodical required
Responsible for purchasing and managing inventory of all
production and distribution supplies.
Reports to: Vice President of Operations.
10+ year’s experience in a plant management role in meat
processing and packaging.
Experience with beef slaughtering is required.
Knowledge of the Kosher certification process.
Demonstrated successful experience using Total Quality
Management principles in manufacturing.
Compensation: $125-175K DOE + annual
