As a part of our transportation team, you'll be responsible for safely delivering food and food service supplies to our valued customers while upholding the high standards of customer service and reliability that US Foods is known for. This role is critical in maintaining our service commitments across the country and you will act as an ambassador of our company on the roads and at customer locations. Safely operate a delivery vehicle using the best practices in defensive driving on a planned route. Load and unload food and supplies, verify orders to ensure accuracy, and provide excellent customer service. Maintain communication with dispatch and management regarding delays or issues. Manage paperwork and documentation for each delivery, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Perform regular vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operations. Adhere to all food safety and handling procedures during transportation. Proficient in safe driving techniques Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting and moving heavy items Problem-solving skills and ability to handle delivery issues Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Clean driving record DOT Medical Card
