Job Description:

A leading cardiovascular program in Rapid City, South Dakota is seeking a board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon with several years of experience to join a high-performing, collaborative heart and vascular team providing comprehensive surgical care across cardiac, thoracic, and select vascular cases.

This is a full-spectrum cardiothoracic surgery role within a rapidly growing program that offers exposure to complex coronary, valve, aortic, structural heart, and thoracic procedures, supported by a large multidisciplinary cardiovascular team and advanced procedural infrastructure.

Position Highlights:

• Mixed cardiac, thoracic, and selected vascular surgical practice
• High-volume, growing program with 700+ annual cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Advanced procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, aortic surgery, ECMO, VATS lobectomy, and more
• Strong structural heart, EP, and complex coronary intervention programs
• 12 ORs including dedicated cardiac ORs, hybrid suites, and robotic systems
• 24/7 comprehensive APP support with experienced multidisciplinary teams
• Equal call rotation among CT surgery partners
• Robust research program with 20+ active clinical trials
• Established cardiac rehab, heart failure, lipid, and anticoagulation programs
