Job Description:

Medication Assistant in our Assisted Living facility. This role is
pivotal in ensuring our residents receive compassionate, accurate
medication management as part of our holistic health and wellness
approach. Utilize your certification and passion for community
health to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents.
Administer daily medications to residents according to prescribed
protocols and care plans. Monitor and record the effectiveness and
any side effects of the medications. Assist in updating patient
records and communicate any significant health changes to
registered nurses and doctors. Ensure the storage and handling of
medications comply with state regulations and facility policies.
Educate residents about their medications, including possible side
effects and interactions. Participate in ongoing training to remain
current with best practices and advancements in caregiving
techniques. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and
protocols Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to
follow detailed instructions Proficient in maintaining accurate
patient records Empathy and patience with elderly residents Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) CPR and First Aid
certification preferred
