Job Description:

Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a dedicated Certified Medication Assistant to join our Assisted Living team, serving underserved communities with a focus on comprehensive health and wellness. In this role, you will be responsible for administering prescribed medications to residents and helping to maintain related medical records under the supervision of the nursing staff. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the wellbeing of our residents, aligning with our mission to promote holistic health outcomes. Administers oral and external medications to residents under the direction of the nursing staff and according to the prescribed regime. Monitors patients' responses to medications and reports adverse reactions or complications immediately. Maintains proper documentation including medication administration, logs, and patient records. Assures the secure storage of medications and supplies in accordance with facility policies. Participates in regular staff meetings and educational sessions to remain current with the latest practices. Strong knowledge of medication types, interactions, and dosage Attention to detail for accurate medication administration Ability to monitor and record patient’s health condition and medication effectiveness Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with elderly residents and their families Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
