Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Rapid City, SD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,153 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year in PCU/Telemetry nursing License: Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS required for RNs; BLS required for LPNs and preferred for CNAs Must-Have: - Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills - IV starts and blood product administration experience - Competency in drain/tube management - Indwelling and straight catheter insertion management - Experience with insulin drips Description: The position requires working in a Progressive Care Unit with a 56-bed capacity. Patient types include adults with various diagnoses such as heart failure, respiratory issues, sepsis, and more. The nurse's patient ratio is typically 1:4 during both day and night shifts. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical judgment and professional bedside manner. Teamwork, a positive attitude, and adaptability are important qualities. Experience in managing vasoactive drips is preferred. Nurses should be comfortable working alongside LPNs in a team nursing model. There will be opportunities to float to other units based on experience. Candidates must understand the importance of compliance in hospital protocols and procedures. Weekend rotation and holiday commitments are expected. Time off requests are allowed up to 7 days during the contract period. Scrubs must be navy blue for RNs. The environment supports staff by having charge nurses, a resource nurse, and 24/7 phlebotomy assistance. Patients are monitored by centralized telemetry.
