RN in Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701! Job Title: Registered Nurse

years of ICU experience preferred, excluding travel experience
License: Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: Epic experience Comfortable
working a 48-hour/week contract Experience with complex ICU
patients Ability to float if necessary Description: The unit
consists of a mixed ICU with surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and
trauma patients. Patient diagnoses include ARDS, myocardial
infarction, stroke, COVID-19, and multiple system trauma. Cardiac
experience is preferred, but not required. Fresh open heart
procedures will only be assigned to experienced staff. The
patient-to-nurse ratio varies based on acuity, usually 1:1, but can
be 1:2 or 1:3. Required skills include proficiency in IV
medications, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and
telemetry. Strong critical thinking and assessment skills are
essential. Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT procedures is
strongly preferred. Nurse Aides and a Charge Nurse are available
for support on the unit. Regular collaboration with Respiratory
Therapy and Intensivists is expected. Charting is done using the
Epic system. Floating to other adult floors may occur but is
uncommon. Weekend rotations are every other week, but not
guaranteed. No on-call duties will be required. Approval of time
off is required, and no requests will be accepted during peak
