As a Medical Assistant in the ambulatory department, you will play a crucial role in facilitating patient flow and ensuring an efficient and caring environment for our patients. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver exceptional healthcare services in our outpatient settings, aligning with our commitment to health and well-being. Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height. Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician. Update patient medical records accurately and with the necessary detail. Administer injections or medications as directed by the physician in compliance with medical standards. Facilitate the collection and preparation of lab specimens and conduct routine tests. Arrange for hospital admissions and laboratory services as per physician's instructions. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Empathy and interpersonal skills Basic clinical procedures understanding (e.g., taking blood pressure, administering injections) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologists CPR certification required
