Job Description:
Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant
Ambulatory to join our team, providing exceptional care in our
ambulatory facilities across various locations. As a vital part of
our healthcare team, the Medical Assistant Ambulatory will support
patient care management, execute administrative and clinical
procedures, and ensure a smooth workflow within the healthcare
environment. This role requires a compassionate individual who can
efficiently coordinate patient care and assist healthcare
professionals in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Assist in
examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a
physician. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations,
keeping the rooms neat and clean. Interview patients, measure vital
signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and
height), and record information on patients' charts. Perform
routine laboratory tests and administrative duties as required by
the clinic. Schedule appointments, maintain medical records, and
comply with all clinic policies and procedures. Communicate
effectively with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure
high quality and efficient care. Proficiency in electronic health
record (EHR) systems Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and
administering medication Knowledge of medical terminology and
healthcare operations Compassion and patience in dealing with
patients and family Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Basic
Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
