Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Orthopedic Urgent Care team. This role is pivotal in facilitating the day-to-day operations of our urgent care facility by providing clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient care delivery and a positive patient experience. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside top-tier healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations. Collect and record patient information, such as vital signs and medical histories. Provide patients with instructions and other information about treatments and procedures. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Manage supply inventory and reordering. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records. Strong clinical skills with the ability to assist in orthopedic procedures and assessments. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
