Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Rapid City, SD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,819 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, excluding travel experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC (required) Must-Have: - Epic experience - Experience with complex ICU patients - Comfortability working a 48-hour work week - Experience with IV medications (vasopressors, sedation, paralytics) - Hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management - Strong critical thinking and assessment skills - Ability to work well in a team setting - Comfortable in a fast-paced environment Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in an ICU setting. The unit consists of a mixture of surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients. Patient ratios are largely acuity-dependent, with ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 (rare). Cardiac experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be willing to obtain required certifications prior to arrival. It is essential to have experience managing critically ill patients. Travelers must live 100 miles away from the facility. Fresh open heart patients will be care-managed by experienced nurses only. The ideal candidate should describe a time when they exceeded a leader's expectations. Travelers may be expected to precept students. Holiday time off requests will not be approved, nor will time off requests during high-demand periods be accommodated. Weekend rotations are expected, though not guaranteed every other weekend.
