Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Rapid City, SD Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $1,836 to $2,030 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Thrive Staffing to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701! Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU City/State: Rapid City, South Dakota Shift: 12 Hour Days, 07:00:00-19:00:00 Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 03/09/2026 Job Description: Provide critical care to complex ICU patients within a mixed MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU unit, maintaining a high standard of care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities: Deliver patient care to complex surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients. Administer IV medications, including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics. Manage hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilators, and telemetry. Ensure effective and compassionate patient assessment and critical thinking in acute care situations. Requirements: 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience preferred. Completion of a board-approved nursing education program; South Dakota RN licensure. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required. Proficiency in Epic, with experience in the use of Impella, IABP, and CRRT strongly preferred.
