Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Rapid City, SD Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $2,520 to $2,714 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU City/State: Rapid City, South Dakota Shift: 12 Hour Nights Contract Length: 12 weeks Start Date: 03/09/2026 Job Description: The ICU Registered Nurse will provide care for complex ICU patients in a mixed unit setting covering MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU, handling surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. Responsibilities: Care for ICU patients with diagnoses including ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-surgical, and multiple system trauma. Manage IV medications such as vasopressors, sedation, paralytics, and perform ventilator management. Monitor and respond to hemodynamic lines and telemetry. Collaborate effectively within a team environment and ensure high-level critical care. Requirements: 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience is preferred. Completion of a board-approved nursing education program and South Dakota RN license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC (required prior to arrival). Epic experience and comfortability working a 48-hour week. Desirable skills: Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT.
