Job Title: Registered Nurse - ER City/State: Rapid City, South Dakota Shift: 12 Hour Variable Contract Length: 3x12 Flex Start Date: 03/23/2026 Job Description: Registered Nurse - ER position responsible for providing care to a range of patients from neonates to geriatrics with varying conditions including trauma and critical illness. The role includes evidence collection for sexual assault cases and involves working within a team with various support resources. Responsibilities: Provide care for patients with conditions such as sepsis, DKA, respiratory illnesses, GI bleeds, and trauma. Perform ESI assessments during triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity. Manage sexual assault cases including evidence collection in coordination with a SA Quality Coordinator. Possibly precept students and engage in unit protocols such as floating to Med/Surg, PCU, or ICU areas as required. Requirements: RN with a minimum of 2 years of ED experience excluding travel experience; LPNs require 2 years of experience in any acute care setting. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS. CPI or MAB/MOAB preferred. Must have completed a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing and possess a South Dakota Board of Nursing license.
