Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Rapid City, SD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,518 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701! Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Oncology (Navigation) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 8 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 40 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of outpatient or ambulatory oncology experience is required. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BLS required. ONS or OCN preferred. Must-Have: - 1 year of travel experience is required. - Experience with EPIC is mandatory; at least 1 year of recent experience required. - Comfortable providing patient education for oral chemotherapy and knowledgeable on IV chemotherapy. - Must be comfortable with all types of hematology and oncology patients. - Ability to work independently. Description: This position involves navigating patients through their oncology treatments. The clinic typically sees around 250 patients daily. You will collaborate with 1-2 physicians and manage 2-3 patients per day for education purposes. The role includes significant phone triaging and in-basket management. You will handle tasks such as prescription refills, addressing patient questions, lab reviews, and scheduling. There will be frequent communication with insurance companies, physicians, and drug companies. Support is available from a pharmacist who assists with oral chemotherapy education. You will work alongside other medical professionals, including radiation oncologists and nursing staff. The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There is no weekend rotation or on-call shifts required. The department management is accessible via phone for support.
