Job Title: Registered Nurse - ER City/State: Rapid City, South Dakota Shift: 12 Hour Variable, 3x12 Flex, 07:00:00-19:00:00 Contract Length: 89 weeks Start Date: 04/20/2026 Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing high-quality care to a wide range of patients, from neonates to geriatric, and managing patients with minor to critical conditions seeking emergency care. This includes handling trauma, stroke, cardiac cases, and evidence collection in sexual assault cases. Responsibilities: Provide care for emergency department patients, including trauma and stroke cases. Participate in triage, identifying patient needs, and prioritizing care. Perform evidence collection in sexual assault cases in rotation with permanent staff. Float to inpatient areas such as Med/Surg, PCU, or ICU when necessary. Requirements: 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience, excluding travel experience preferred. Required certifications for RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS. Completion of an approved nursing education program; Registered Nurse license from South Dakota Board of Nursing.
