medications Ability to work with outpatient ambulatory patients
requiring various types of infusions Description: This position is
for a Registered Nurse specializing in outpatient infusion. The
unit consists of infusion rooms with a focus on outpatient
ambulatory patients. Patient types include those requiring
infusions for rheumatoid arthritis, gastrointestinal issues,
immunotherapy, multiple sclerosis, blood transfusions, hydration,
iron, antibiotics, injections, and other ordered infusions. The
nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:7. The role includes phlebotomy
performed by the RN when needed for difficult sticks. The
IV/Vascular Access Team operates as its own team. Assistance is
available from a CRNA for ultrasound-guided IVs if necessary.
Charting is performed using Epic. Travelers must live 100 miles
away from any facility. Permanent staff members must wait one full
year before returning as travelers. There is a weekend rotation but
no on-call responsibilities. Holiday work is required if it falls
on a scheduled workday. Approval for time off must be sought from
