Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Rapid City, SD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,360 per week Shift Information: 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Variable Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery, preferably in a Level 3 or higher unit License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: Required: BLS, NRP Preferred: ACLS, certification in inpatient obstetrics, electronic fetal monitoring, or inpatient antepartum Must-Have: - Must possess manager approval for candidates lacking specific experience or certifications. - Experience with Level 3 or higher Labor and Delivery. - Competency to manage high acuity labor patients, including preeclampsia, preterm labor, and antepartum patients less than 35 weeks gestation. - Ability to care for couplets. - Highly preferred experience in Level 2 nursery care. - Skills in IV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate administration, blood administration, insulin administration, circulating during C-sections, and C-section recovery care. Description: This position involves providing care for a range of pregnant patients. The unit accepts patients with various risk factors and complications. Responsibilities include managing high-risk, low-intervention laboring patients, antepartum care, OB triage/emergency department, postpartum care, and newborn infants. Patient ratios include 1:3 for antepartum care, 1:2 for inactive labor, 1:1 for active labor, and 1:3 for postpartum/couplet care. The role requires working variable shifts, including nights and weekends, throughout the contract. Holiday work may be necessary as needed. Required communication and documentation will be done through electronic charting. Support is available from a dedicated medical team, including respiratory therapy and anesthesia/CRNA. Candidates must demonstrate comfort with changing shifts and be prepared to work across all areas of Labor and Delivery.
