Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Rapid City, SD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,360 per week Shift Information: 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1-2 years in Labor and Delivery, preferably in a level 3 or higher unit License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: BLS, NRP; ACLS preferred; certification in inpatient obstetrics and electronic fetal monitoring preferred Must-Have: Manager approval required if lacking EPIC charting experience. Competency to manage high acuity labor patients, including preeclampsia and preterm labor. Ability to care for couplets. Experience with IV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate, blood administration, insulin, circulating C-sections, and C-section recovery care is preferred. Description: The unit has 10 labor and delivery beds, 4 obstetric emergency department triage beds, and 4 antepartum rooms. We accept patients with varying risk factors and complications. The unit cares for high-risk patients as well as low-intervention laboring patients. Staffing ratios are Antepartum: 1:3, Inactive Labor: 1:2, Active Labor: 1:1, Postpartum/Couplet care: 1:3 couplets. Candidates should be able to work in postpartum/couplet care throughout the contract. Preferred candidates will have experience with level 2 nursery babies. Shifts will vary between day and night throughout the contract. Weekend rotation will occur every other weekend. Holiday work may be required as needed.
