Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Physical Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for home health and hospice care in a day shift setting. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in home health and hospice settings serving the Southern Black Hills region, including Hot Springs, Custer, Edgemont, Hill City, Hermosa, and surrounding areas - Provide care to a patient population ranging from early adult to geriatrics with conditions such as CHF, COPD, DM, cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, dementia, and general weakness - 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with no weekends or on-call requirements - Uses EPIC for documentation - Department includes a multidisciplinary team with RNs, LPNs, OTs, PTAs, SLPs, aides, MSWs, and case managers - Main responsibilities include assessing, planning, and providing therapy to medically complex and rehabilitation patients in their homes and hospice settings - Typical orientation lasts approximately 1 week and includes EPIC training and shadowing - Office is closed on 6 major holidays; manager approval required for time off - Any color scrubs or business casual attire accepted; denim and sweats not permitted - Free parking available - First-time travelers will be considered - No local travelers permitted; candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius /n /n Requirements/n - Current SD PT license required if applicable - Active BLS certification required - Minimum of 1 year of recent physical therapy experience - Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required - General PT skills including evaluation, medical assessment, determining interventions, and care plan development /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-644600.
