Certifications: BLS, NRP preferred; ACLS, certification in
inpatient obstetrics, electronic fetal monitoring, or inpatient
antepartum preferred Must-Have: Must have manager approval if
lacking EPIC charting experience or experience in a Level 3 or
higher Labor and Delivery unit. Description: This position involves
working in a Labor and Delivery unit with 10 beds and associated
triage and antepartum rooms. Candidates will work with all types of
pregnant patients, including high-risk cases, in a setting equipped
to handle various complications and risk factors. Patient care
includes antepartum, OB triage, postpartum, and infant care.
Nurse-to-patient ratios include 1:3 for antepartum, 1:2 for
inactive labor, 1:1 for active labor, and 1:3 for
postpartum/couplet care. Candidates must be able to manage
high-acuity labor patients, including those with preeclampsia and
preterm labor and delivery. Experience with couplet care is
required. Preferred candidates will have experience in a Level 2
nursery. Responsibilities include IV starts, cervical checks,
phlebotomy, administration of magnesium sulfate, blood, and
insulin, as well as circulating C-sections and providing C-section
recovery care. Candidates will rotate through various shifts,
including nights and days, and participate in a weekend rotation
approximately every other week. Holiday work may be required as
part of the contract. Preferred scrub color is cobalt blue,
