Range: $70.00 - $115.50 Job Summary The Pharmacy Supervisor
provides day-to-day work guidance for a team or work group in a
shift and/or in the completion of tactical processes. Has an
extensive understanding of process, operational, regulatory and
technical requirements of related work areas. The Supervisor's
primary role is formal leadership; however, may perform staff
pharmacist duties according to the pharmacy's needs. Uses a
combination of advanced clinical expertise and technical experience
to provide direction. Works within well-defined procedures; uses
independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to
solve basic problems; selects and prioritizes own and time of
others. Selects methods, techniques, and analytical approach on
behalf of the team to complete work. Follows established practices
and procedures in analyzing most situations, data or processes from
which answers can be readily obtained; may be required to interpret
application of policies/procedures/technical methods for staff.
Makes decisions autonomously and informs leadership of key
decisions that have been made or actions that have been taken to
keep leadership current on developments. Formalizes and
operationalizes decisions; serves as liaison to areas impacted,
educates others and socializes new processes to increase adoption
of new practices. Closely manages a group of employees and provides
day-to-day direction to staff. Requires a strong understanding of
own work unit's capabilities. Motivates and empowers others,
influences team decisions; supports negotiations and/or change
initiatives through direct contributions. Decisions typically are
related to schedule, plans and daily operations with individual
contributions affecting daily operations and progress on small to
medium-sized projects. Sets tactical plans for day-to-day
activities that are guided by precedent with some interpretation
and managing exceptions. Has latitude to balance work assignments
of supervisees to manage workload. Resolves complex issues
escalated by staff. Participates in the development of employees.
Conducts performance reviews and provides input on direct reports
for Human Resources decisions such as hiring, promotions and may
include disciplinary actions. Collaborates with peers, health plan
members, interdisciplinary team members, and leadership within the
organization and in the community to identify and resolve complex
challenges. May have ownership of special projects, including
identifying problems, proposing recommendations, developing project
plan, outlining processes, and implementing project plan.
Anticipates potential problems and proposes solutions. Identifies
areas of opportunity for improvement. Incorporates cross-team
integration and collaboration to support project planning and
implementation. May serve on or chair multiple committees. Aware of
departmental budget targets and constraints, along with team's
impact to achievement of financial goals. Accountable for expense
management and quality and efficiency targets. Has discretion over
limited expenditures for the work unit. Leads others in identifying
improvements to work processes within compliance parameters;
provides input on new approaches to improve efficiencies, safety,
and customer or patient care, around routine work situations.
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Five
plus years of experience preferred. Must have a thorough knowledge
of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local
regulations. License must be in good standing by the State Board of
Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state
licensure privileges as required by position. Benefits Sanford
