qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701! Pay
Information $3,160 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse
Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour
Variable Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in
Labor and Delivery, preferably in a Level 3 or higher unit License:
Registered Nurse (RN) - State Board of Nursing Certifications: BLS,
NRP preferred; ACLS, Certification in Inpatient Obstetrics,
Electronic Fetal Monitoring, or Inpatient Antepartum preferred
Must-Have: Must have manager approval if lacking: - Level 3 or
higher Labor and Delivery experience and competency to manage high
acuity labor patients, including preeclampsia, preterm labor and
delivery, and management of laboring and antepartum patients less
than 35 weeks gestation - Ability to care for couplets - Experience
in IV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate, blood
administration, insulin, circulating C-sections, and C-section
recovery care Description: The unit has 10 labor and delivery beds,
4 triage beds, and 4 antepartum rooms. We see all types of pregnant
patients, ranging from high-risk to low-intervention laboring
patients. Our facility has the only Level 3 NICU in a 350-mile
radius, allowing us to accept patients with various risk factors or
complications. Patient ratios include 1:3 in Antepartum, 1:2 during
Inactive Labor, 1:1 in Active Labor, and 1:3 in Postpartum/Couplet
care. Candidates must be comfortable working variable shifts,
including both days and nights throughout the contract. Weekend
rotation is required every other week. Candidates will be required
to work in Postpartum/Couplet care during the contract duration. A
robust support team is available, including RT and OB physician
teams, as well as anesthesia support. The charting system used in
the unit is EPIC. Candidates should have the capability to handle
various high-acuity situations and should be familiar with
