Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years in coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral cases License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral experience Critical patient assessment skills Vasoactive and Sedation drug administration Sterile technique Air management Laser and Lithotripsy Atherectomy Cardiac Cath lab and Peripheral IV skills Description: This position requires a registered nurse with experience in a cardiac cath lab setting. Candidates will be working in a facility that is a Level II Trauma Center and a Teaching Hospital. The nurse will care for patients with coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, and valvular disease. The nurse will perform diagnostic cath procedures, and manage patients with renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, and thrombosis. Procedures may include Impella insertion and LVAD insertions. The patient ratio is 1:1 for registered nurses. All required certifications include BLS and ACLS. Familiarity with EPIC charting system is required, with Epic Cupid being preferred. Candidates must be willing to be on call 1-2 days per week and every 4th weekend. Holiday expectations may include working during one holiday per assignment. Support on the unit will be provided by charge nurses and other staff as required.
