Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Endocrinology RN Profession:
Registered Nurse Specialty: Endocrinology Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
8 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in
ambulatory clinic experience preferred License: RN License in South
Dakota Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience with EPIC in an
ambulatory clinic Description: Hours of Operation are from 8:00 AM
to 5:00 PM. Travelers must live more than 100 miles away from the
facility. Permanent staff must wait one full year to return as
travelers. Patient types include endocrinology diabetic patients
(Type 1 and Type 2) and thyroid patients. Endocrinology clinic
experience is highly preferred. Required skills include triage,
patient education, and Epic Ambulatory InBasket work. Travelers
will be responsible for downloading insulin pumps and glucometers.
Training will be provided for completing downloads. Back-up
responsibilities include rooming patients. The clinic has its own
laboratory department for phlebotomy. Floating may occur
occasionally. Scrub color for Registered Nurses is navy blue; for
Medical Assistants, it is light grey. Holiday expectations and
approval of time off will be managed by the supervisor.
