Job Description Are you a Cardiothoracic Surgeon searching for your next perm position? This position with one of VISTA’s healthcare partners in Rapid City, South Dakota might just be the opportunity for you! Opportunity Highlights • Healthcare system is composed of 5 hospitalist and 40 medical clinics and specialty centers • Facilities, equipment and staff are state of the art • Hospital is a 417-bed regional tertiary care medical center and Level II trauma center that covers a 5 state region and a 500,000 population drawing area • This position will be a mix of Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular care. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent work ethic and clinical skills and passion for outstanding quality. Mentorship available for a junior surgeon that meets the qualifications. This provider will be joining 1 cardiac surgeon and 8 advance practice providers (to include nocturnal APP coverage) • Leading edge of procedures offered to include CABG – including beating heart surgery, complex mitral valve repairs and replacements, AVRs & TAVRs, complex thoracic aortic surgery including aortic root surgery, arrhythmia surgery including hybrid A-fib maze procedures (convergent), ECMO, open and VATS lobectomy, mediastinal surgery, carotid endarterectomy, lower and upper extremity bypass surgery, EVARs and open AAA repairs. • Join 10 Non-interventional Cardiologists, 5 Interventional Cardiologists, and, 2 Electrophysiologists • Comprehensive Cardiovascular Quality Assessment/Quality Improvement (GA/GI) Program with active registry participation. This includes participation in STS Adult Cardiac Surgery, NCDR CP/MI, NCDR Cath/PCI, NCDR Device Implant Registry, NCDR TVT, SVS Vascular Quality Initiative, AHA Get with the Guidelines A-Fib and NCDR LAAO registries • Competitive salary • Excellent benefits package including relocation, moving allowance, CME, paid malpractice • With easy access to the Black Hills, you can relish in the outdoors with hiking, camping, boating, fishing, and hunting.
