Job Description Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel ICU RN – Rapid City, SD (Level II Trauma Center) Rapid City, SD 57701 • 48 hours/week required • 13-week contract • Navy scrubs • Free parking Shift & Schedule: • 4x12s or 3x12 1x12 (48 hours/week — non-negotiable) • EOW (every other weekend) rotation • No on-call • No RTO during holidays or Sturgis Rally (first 3 weeks of August) • Orientation: 1x12 hr 1x8 hr shift in ICU Unit Details: • Mixed ICU: MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU (39 beds total) • Patient types: Surgical, trauma, cardiac, neuro, ARDS, CVA, TAVR/CABG post-op (24–48 hrs) • RN Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2, occasional 1:3 based on acuity • Support: 24/7 RT, CNAs, ICU CRNs, Intensivists APPs Requirements: • 2 years recent ICU experience (excluding travel preferred) • No first-time travelers – must have completed at least 1 previous travel assignment • Must live 100 miles from any Monument Health facility • Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC required (must obtain pre-start if not held) • Charting: Epic (required), Alaris (switching to Baxter), Omnicell • ICU RNs must be able to float to ED or other adult units (med-surg/tele) Preferred Skills: • Vent management, telemetry, hemodynamic lines, vasopressors, sedation, proning • CRRT, Impella, IABP strongly preferred • Strong critical thinking, comfort with high acuity/fast-paced teams Requirements:/n/n• 2 years recent ICU experience (excluding travel preferred)/n• No first-time travelers – must have completed at least 1 previous travel assignment/n• Must live 100 miles from any Monument Health facility/n• Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC required (must obtain pre-start if not held)/n• Charting: Epic (required), Alaris (switching to Baxter), Omnicell/n• ICU RNs must be able to float to ED or other adult units (med-surg/tele)/n/n Preferred Skills:/n/n• Vent management, telemetry, hemodynamic lines, vasopressors, sedation, proning/n• CRRT, Impella, IABP strongly preferred/n• Strong critical thinking, comfort with high acuity/fast-paced teams About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
