Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701!
Pay Information $2,296 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PreOp-PACU
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum 1.5 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS,
ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Critical Care experience including
competencies with ICU cases, hemodynamic drips, and ventilated
patients. Description: 24 Pre-Op/Phase 2 beds and 19 PACU beds.
Patient population includes infants to geriatric patients.
Comfortable with preoperative, recovery, and discharge of patients.
Ability to manage boarded patients if inpatient beds are
unavailable. Competencies include IV insertion, ventilator
training, epidural/PCA setup/initiation, blood product
transfusions, and moderate sedation administration and monitoring.
Night shift RN (2030-0700) required to have Critical Care
experience. Variable shift RN may learn competencies during
orientation. CNA support available during daytime hours. Charge
nurse available in both PreOp and PACU. All nurses trained in IV
insertion, with additional assistance available for difficult
cases. Hospitalists available for inpatient population. Charting
system: Experience with EPIC preferred. Routinely floats between
PreOp, PACU, Endo prep and discharge, and Phase 2. General
orientation and one week of department-specific orientation
provided. Scheduling depends on job posting and traveler
confirmation. Weekend call rotation every three weeks required,
with response time of 15 minutes. Holiday call rotation, requiring
two holidays worked per year. Time off requests are managed by the
manager. No time off requests considered during peak periods. Scrub
