qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701!
Pay Information $3,030 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 48
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel
experience is preferred. License: Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of
Nursing approval required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC
(required) Must-Have: - Cardiac experience required. - Proficiency
in CRRT, balloon pump, Impella, and care of immediate post-op open
heart patients. - Experience with IV medications (vasopressors,
sedation, paralytics), hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator
management, telemetry, and strong critical thinking and assessment
skills. - Comfortable in a fast-paced setting with critical
patients. - Epic experience is required. Description: This position
is in a 39-bed mixed ICU unit. The unit includes a variety of
complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac,
neuro, and trauma. Patient ratios are typically 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3,
depending on acuity. Travelers must live at least 100 miles away
from the facility. A minimum of one prior travel assignment is
required; first-time travelers will not be accepted. Orientation
includes one 12-hour shift and one 8-hour shift in the ICU. Weekend
rotation is required every other weekend. No time off requests will
be accepted during holidays or for specific events. Travelers may
be asked to float to other adult floors if necessary. Support on
the unit includes 1-2 nurse aides per unit and a charge nurse
overseeing the ICUs. Resource nursing staff and respiratory therapy
are available 24/7. Charting is done through Epic. This position
requires a commitment to 48 hours per week, which is not
