qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701!

Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of experience required License:
Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have:
Critical care experience and competencies with ICU cases, including
hemodynamic drips and ventilated patients. Comfortable with pre-op,
recovery, and discharge of patients. Willingness to care for
boarded patients if there are no inpatient beds available.
Description: This position involves nursing care in the Pre-Op and
PACU settings. The unit comprises 24 Pre-Op/Phase 2 beds and 19
PACU beds. Registered Nurses will be responsible for various
patient types ranging from infants to geriatric patients. Training
will be provided for the recovery of the infant population as
needed. Endoscopy patients will be prepared and discharged, but
intra-operative assistance is not part of this role. Patient ratios
are RN: Pre-Op 1:2-3, PACU 1:1 or 1:2, Phase 2 1:2-4, depending on
acuity levels and patient needs. Key competencies include IV
insertion, ventilator training, epidural/PCA setup/initiation,
blood product transfusions, and monitoring of moderate sedation.
Nurses will collaborate with clinical resource nurses, respiratory
therapists, and hospitalists as necessary. General and
unit-specific orientation will be provided. Scheduling includes
potential weekend rotations and on-call shifts every 2-3 weeks.
Holiday obligations may require on-call rotations. Requests for
time off will be managed through unit management, with specific
