*Registered Nurse* - *Labor & Delivery**Location (City/State): Spearfish, SD**Pay: $1800 to $2100 Weekly**Type of Facility: Medical Center**Contract**Shift:*- Day- Rotating Day/Night- 3x12*Responsibilities:*-- Monitor and assess pregnant patients, ensuring well-being and addressing concerns. Administer medications, perform fetal heart rate monitoring, and provide emotional support.-- Assist patients through labor stages, offering comfort measures, pain management, and contraction monitoring. Collaborate for safe labor.-- Prepare delivery rooms, equipment, and support mothers during pushing. Aid during deliveries, including cesarean sections.-- Monitor post-delivery patients, assess vital signs, contractions, and bleeding. Educate on breastfeeding, newborn care, and recovery.-- Assess newborn health, perform Apgar scoring, and provide initial care, including medications and vaccinations.-- Administer prescribed medications, monitor for reactions, and ensure proper documentation.-- Follow strict infection control protocols for sterile environment maintenance.-- Recognize and respond promptly to emergencies, collaborating with the medical team.-- Provide emotional support during childbirth, addressing questions and promoting calmness.-- Educate patients on labor, pain relief, newborn care, and recovery.-- Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation.-- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.-- Apply clinical judgment in assessing conditions and initiating interventions.-- Stay updated on evidence-based practices in labor and delivery nursing.-- Respect diverse cultural and religious beliefs of patients and their families*Requirements:*-Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP,RN License-Years of Experience: 2 years of L&D-Other:EFM interpretation and intervention, adult and neonatal assessment skills*About us:*-- Local and Travel Contracts available across the country-- Non-taxable stipends for travelers-- Employee Referral ProgramCambay Healthcare offers a variety of flexible work options for healthcare professionals, including full-time, part-time, and per diem positions, in all types of health care settings across the United States.
