Job Description:
Waste Connections is seeking a dedicated Preventative
Maintenance Mechanic to join our team, focusing on maintaining and
enhancing the operational capacity of our waste management
machinery and vehicles. Located within our Waste Management
division, the role requires a proactive approach to maintaining
equipment to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. As a
member of Waste Connections, an industry leader in integrated waste
services, the successful candidate will help us continue to provide
superior services to residential, commercial, and industrial
customers across the region. Perform regular preventive maintenance
on machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues in hydraulic,
pneumatic, and electrical systems. Record and maintain detailed
logs of maintenance work and repairs. Communicate with the
management team about maintenance progress and potential
disruptions. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain
a safe work environment. Participate in training and safety
meetings to ensure up-to-date knowledge of equipment and industry
regulations. Strong technical ability in hydraulics and electrical
systems. Proficiency in using tools and equipment for repairs and
maintenance. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving
skills. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Effective communication and interaction capabilities. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Life Insurance
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) preferred.
Relevant licensure for handling refrigerants if applicable.
